statement on black people

The Target Corporation's biggest mission is to seek justice for the African American community. BLM and other progressive organizations serve the purpose of giving equal rights to groups of people who have historically been super oppressed.

Black people take up 13% of the population in the US. If we don't support them, we'll lose an estimated 13% of profits (approximately $10 billion. That's BILLION with a B), and that's not a sacrifice our CEO, Brian Cornell, is willing to make.

Target loves black people. Specifically more than white people. That's why we work with and continue to fund local police departments. The police are here to help serve the African American community by protecting them from threats of white supremacy.

Every year the police protect innocent black men from 178,000,000 hate crimes in Target stores. That's nearly 2 million hate crimes per day. Just in Target stores.

The Target Corporation also gives customers the ability to donate to various charities using the Target Circle app (now available on the app store). The fact that less of our money has gone to BLM organizations is not the fault of the Target corporation, but rather that of the customers.

Karen voted to donate her share of the Target Circle donation pool to help feed animals/homeless veterans in animal shelters. If anyone is racist, it's her. If you're going to attack anyone or any institution, it should be HER instead of us (but please make sure that any action you take is both legal AND off of the Target Corporation's property).

We care so much about the Black Community that we recently started marketing a book section from all black authors. If you buy 12 books, they may help inform a new peaceful worldview that will help you to understand just how seriously we care about minorites.

We do, always have, always will. We mean it.

Target stands with Black families, communities and team members, committed to using our size, scale and resources to help heal and create lasting change.

That's why we donated 10 million dollars to groups that advance social justice and support rebuilding and recovery efforts in local communities.

/* $10M is approximately 0.01% of our yearly revenue. We make $214M every single day. We basically tossed them our pocket change lol! */
